Who we are

Colombia Heart (colombiaheart.com) is operated by Scout Theory LLC, a US limited liability company run from Medellín, Colombia. Contact: andy@colombiamedical.co, WhatsApp +1 614 607 1230.

What we collect

• Information you give us: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country, the procedure you are asking about, your timeline, and anything you write in a message.
• Health information you choose to send: for example a cardiologist's note, test reports or a medication list, usually over WhatsApp or email. Only send what you are comfortable sharing.
• Usage data: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read. It collects things like pages viewed, approximate location and device type through cookies. We also record which form or link you used and any campaign tags in the URL.

How we use it

• To reply to you and answer your questions.
• To request quotes from hospitals, but only after you tell us which hospitals we may contact and what we may share.
• To help organize logistics you ask for, such as lodging or transfers.
• To improve the site.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your health information for advertising.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are stored in a Google Workspace spreadsheet with restricted access. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms. Email is handled by our email provider. These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States.

Sharing

We share your information with a hospital or clinician only with your consent, and only what is needed for them to assess your case or quote. We may share information if the law requires it. We do not share it with anyone else.

Health privacy laws

We are not a healthcare provider, health plan or clearinghouse, so the US HIPAA rules that apply to those organizations do not apply to us. We still treat what you send as confidential and limit who can see it. If you are in Colombia, you have rights over your personal data under Ley 1581 de 2012, including the right to know, update, correct and request deletion of your data.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry records for as long as we are helping you and for up to 24 months afterward, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your choices

• Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it: email andy@colombiamedical.co.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out tools for Analytics.
• Stop messages at any time by telling us.

Children

This site is for adults. If you are arranging care for a minor, a parent or legal guardian must make the request.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.

Datos que recogemos: los que usted nos envía en los formularios: nombre, cargo, correo, WhatsApp, institución, ciudad, servicios y acreditación (prestadores), o el procedimiento y la situación clínica que un paciente decida compartir.

Finalidad: responder su solicitud, evaluar una posible alianza de servicios, contactarle por WhatsApp o correo y mantener actualizado el perfil público de su institución con información de fuentes verificables. No vendemos datos personales.

Almacenamiento: en una hoja de cálculo de Google Workspace con acceso restringido. Nuestros proveedores (Google, WhatsApp, correo) pueden almacenar datos fuera de Colombia, incluido EE. UU.

Conservación: mientras dure la solicitud o la relación y hasta 24 meses después, salvo que usted pida eliminarlos antes o la ley exija conservarlos.

Sus derechos: conocer, actualizar, rectificar y solicitar la supresión de sus datos, y revocar la autorización, escribiendo a andy@colombiamedical.co.
